Wow, such a sad week, we are losing a lot of great ones. Of course Empire is and always will be my favorite film of all time. Nothing else to say other than all these film heros will be missed.
Sadly we lost a great actor yesterday in Leslie Nielsen, who we all best knew for his roles in Airplane! and The Naked Gun. Many may not have liked his over he top comedy, but as a kid I loved it, and will always have fond memories. I remember when I loved the Naked Gun movies, and it was just crazy for me to see that he passed this weekend at 84. According to articles online it Sounds like he passed from complications of pneumonia this weekend. Hard to believe the guy has a 60 year career in film, and he will be missed.
Hey Gang, is everyone ready for the holidays? Well get ready as they start tomorrow! Actually Thanksgiving is probably my personal favorite. That said have a Wonderful one, spend it with loved ones, and if you can't take a moment to drop them a line.
On the nerd news front check out the Super 8 News site. Looks like there is another viral news update. I was seriously excited about this movie the moment I saw the trailer, just like with Cloverfield. The viral marketing is fun and check it out!
Hey gang, while I feel like I have been around the world and back again as of late, I got my computer fixed and posted some more Mid-Ohio Pictures. I also made a gallery of some random pics I have snaped while traveling as of late. Below is one of them.
Another thing I have begun working on are desktop images. I made the following desktop image from the new Arkham City Harley Quinn image that was out there. I have been eagerly awaiting this game, and needed some new harley for the desktop, and am now sharing here. Enjoy, and I will also be posting a tutorial on how to change your windows start button to a Harly inspired button soon too.

Hey Gang, sorry the site has been slow today, but looks like the host is performing maintenance today. That said, I was trying to get some new content up but will have to wait till tomorrow to finish. Until then enjoy what we have out there or check out the newest http://www.super8news.com/ news. looks like they got new print outs from the “Scariest Thing” Website. I am stoked for this movie!
Well I am a huge JJ Abrams fan, and I loved Cloverfield. A lot of people claim his next film is going to be a prequel to that, but not sure that is true. Not to mention he said it wasn't. It also seems to obvious for it to be so, but that said they are going viral with this film just like with the film Cloverfield. If you haven't seen the trailer, which was on Iron Man 2 this summer watch it here:
Just like Cloverfield the trailer does nothing other than create more questions. I sorta forgot about it till recently when I was curious as to the status of the film and thought I would look around online. It was there I stumbled onto www.scariestthingieversaw.com. It is an interesting site which seems to start telling a story which will go along with the film. It is a series of puzzles and there is no way I would complete it on my own so I used the Internets to solve and make my way through the site. So far it is very cool, and I am more excited for the movie now. What a great way to advertise the film!
Everything seems to be tomorrow in these last couple posts. Maybe "Tomorrow" I can keep the theme going. Or catch "C.R.A.F.T." and forget. But tomorrow ET has a preview of Green Lantern, as I don't care to watch the show I will probably catch clips online after the fact but you can get a peek at some of what they will show on the trailer for the trailer! Sad I know, right? Yet another Comic movie no one is sure of, thank you Ryan Reynolds, but as always we will be there in droves, as there is something about being a nerd and an addict for bad movies.
Make sure to order your passes. They seem to go up in price every year and as always they go up in price as you get closer to the event. This year they go up to $120 at the door! So make sure not to delay and get them ordered.
According to the site the price increase schedule is as follows:
* $70 to 11/15/2010
* $80 to 2/15/2011
* $90 to 5/13/2011
* $105 to 7/15/2011
* $120 thereafter
Will it be Catwoman? As mentioned in the Ain't it Cool News article, I myself agree that Poison Ivy doesn't fit this series. Not sure how much I like that they are trying so hard to make Batman Realistic. If I want realism I watch the news, but I don't, so I watch out there movies, and read comics. Anyhow of course I am a huge Batman nerd so I will be there opening night regardless just like I was for the last. And I know millions loved it, so check out more details at the article below.
Hey Gang, I am swamped as can be out here in San Jose for work and cannot wait to get home and work on some stuff. R2 is close to being done, and there are so many things I want to do to the site. But since I have like 5 mins here I figured I would post a quick reminder that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 comes out Nov 17th. That's what, 6 days Goose?
**Edit by Goose--- It comes out on the 19th! Booyakasha!**
I am not a huge fan but I enjoy all the films and am looking forward to it. Not to mention it is an accomplishment. With Part 1 and Part 2 they will have completed the series. No Small feet with pretty much most of the cast still in tact.
Well have a good weekend kids and I will try and get back to my regular updates when I get home this weekend. Until then, have a great week.
Mid-Ohio Con was a fantastic time! A big thanks to our Croatian friends, the Suicide Girls, and our 501st friends for making it such a great time! Keep an eye out for more pics to be added to the gallerey in the next couple days. Here are some pics from the con from Columbus Metromix from the con and after-party:
Friday night we were drinking with Croatians.
Saturday Cadet did push ups with a Suicide Girl sitting on his back and then we were drinking with suicide girls at a costume party
So it looks like Uncle Ben is going to be none other than Martin Sheen. Yes I am talking about the newest Superhero reboot for Spider Man. It is a combination of Reboots and Comic Movies anymore. But since I love Comics I cannot complain as the Comics themselves were rebooted all the time, but back in the day they used to wait a little longer to remake a film. Oh well they already got my money when it comes out and I like the Uncle Ben Choice. Curious who they will fill out the rest of the cast with.
IMDB Describes Suckerpunch as "A young girl is institutionalized by her wicked stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the facility."
And after seeing the full trailer the movie has my attention. I will be the first to admit, I love over the top, fake, surreal movies. When I watch a movie I want to be entertained, and this film has that. On a side note if you like over the top fake movies check out "Shoot 'Em Up". Who knows maybe I was the only person who loved this movie,but it was awesome over the top awesomeness. Anyhow I just think Suckerpunch looks fun, like "Kill Bill" meets the "Watchmen" and "Shoot 'Em Up". Check out the trailer by clicking the image below and judge for yourself. But then again who knows, it could turn out to be garbage.
Mid-Ohio con is this weekend. Some of us will be attending, so feel free to come out and get your geek on, and say "Hello" to your friendly neighborhood Bear Crew!
Well I guess it has been site update time. I have been working on cleaning up some of the site. Now, while many of the updates most people might not notice, they help me get ready for other features. Such as the tool kit, improved search and so on. Some of the updates I made though, would be the ability to page through the blog posts 10 at a time verse paring by month. Blog posts now also have a time feature which allow us all to know when we have been posting at all hours of the night.
Oh yeah and I added the feature for all of us to be embarrassed by our face being plastered on everyone of our posts :)
Other than that, please feel free to leave you comments on any features you would like to see us add, things you would like to see us put on the site content wise, or things we should just finally get around to updating.

In my own little nerd news update, "Thor" is starting to get more of my own personal attention. I recently found the trailer searching around on the net and now I am getting a little excited, but mostly because it means the Avengers is that much closer.
Check out the Barbarossa Costume Page, in our featured costume page highlight, as I recently updated it and added some new pictures of the new prosthetic. I recently painted up the new cursed prosthetic I will use with it and am just looking for an opportunity to wear the costume. Then I will finish up with applying the prosthetic and doing the last bits of detailing.
